Charrie Waters | Sherman ISD

"Cheryl Oberst and I were eating lunch during in-service at Plano East. After the campus rep had given her spiel about ATPE, Cheryl said, 'Charrie, you need this because you work in special ed.' Cheryl kept telling me for my own protection I better sign up ... she gave me an application, and I completed it and turned it in. Then Cheryl started talking about Plano's meetings. I attended once, and look where I am today."

(Charrie is now a local unit treasurer and campus rep in Sherman ISD and was a finalist for the ATPE Educator of the Year Awards in the Associate category.)
